Olivia Calvetti
MPC is proud to announce that Olivia Calvetti has verbally committed to Seton Hill University in Pennsylvania (D2). Olivia has been the catcher for most all significant moments in the last 2 years. Her exit velocity throwing runners out trying to steal has been a luxury for the program. Every time Coach Keith walks by the field before practice there are balls being hit in the cage. She is constantly trying to improve her overall game and it worked. Combined with her hard work in the class her Grade Point Average is as hard earned as her athletic scholarship. Catchers do not come along very often as good as Olivia. We are happy to have had one this good in the program. Congratulations Olivia and well deserved. We look forward to tracking you at your new school. You were an amazing LOBO.
Sorcha Walker
MPC Softball is very proud to announce the signing of Sorcha Walker (Canada). Sorcha has committed to Park Gilbert in Arizona (NAIA). Between her grades and athletic play, she received a very good scholarship offer. Sorcha will play against many of her former LOBO teammates in the same conference. No player has sacrificed more to be at MPC than Sorcha and the program is grateful to her for the hard work and dedication to improve. We will never forget the pictures Sorcha sent us staring out her window in Calgary waiting for the snow to melt so she could get outside to play the sport she loves. Sorcha mostly bats lead off for the LOBO and paroles center field. MPC could not be more honored to have you here Sorcha. Thank you for being a hard-working Lobos and we will continue to track your progress at Park Gilbert. You were an amazing LOBO.
Kaiya Dickens
Lobo Softball has wonderful news. Kaiya Dickens has committed to Sonoma State University (D2). Kaiya has been a two-sport athlete at MPC putting up great numbers in Basketball and Softball. Last year Kaiya led our conference in triples and so far this year she is batting 417%. Coach Bridges at Sonoma runs a very good program and won her conference tournament last year. Kaiya is an excellent athlete and should be able to contribute to her new program immediately. She joins several former Lobos who have gone on to play at Sonoma. Thank you for your hard work and for choosing the Lobo. You are an excellent Lobo.
Alejandra Tejeda
Alejandra Tejeda (Ale) from MPC softball has committed to University of St. Katherines. She will be joining the Cal Pac conference playing against other Lobo alumni. Alejandra batted 308% with an overall on-base of 398. To say Alejandra worked hard for this is an understatement. She originally drove from her home in King City every day to practice making her day very long. Any chance she had to get extra work in on her skills, she stayed late. Also keeping a very high GPA in the process. If work ethic had a face, it would be hers. Ale is one of the kindest and best teammates this program has ever had. St Katherines is getting one of the best Lobos the program has ever had. Coach Letts from St Katherines waisted not time asking her to commit. Congratulations Alejandra, you were a world class Lobo.
Alysa Gutierrez
Alysa has verballed to Sonoma State (D2). The work ethic and determination she put in to make this happen was impressive to watch. Always asking for extra bullpens, seeking a critique on her pitches to make them better and always showing respect in the process. Alysa will be in the very competitive CCAA conference which allows everyone to go watch her play. Coach Bridges has done a very good job building her program winning the CCAA conference tournament last year. MPC is very proud and happy to have had Alysa in the program and will continue to support her in any way possible. Good job Alysa, you’re a wonderful LOBO.
Maliyah Sandin
MPC softball has more good news. Maliyah Sandin (Maloo) has committed to University of Antelope. The program is NAIA in the competitive Cal Pac. Maliyah will compete against many other former Lobo Alumni. Last year Maloo helped Lobo softball to a postseason appearance earning First Team All-Conference honors. She worked very hard to earn the opportunity to play 4-year softball. Coach Gracie at Antelope wasted no time offering Maliyah and is very happy to have such a quality player. Maliyah has also done a great job raising her GPA to gain entrance into their nursing program. We are very proud of Maliyah for her great play and for being such a good teammate. Thank you “Maloo” for your hard work for Lobo softball. You were a great LOBO.

Isabella Contreras
Isabella Contreras has verballed to Simpson University in Redding California (NAIA). Simpson is in the California Pacific Conference. Isabella was the heart of the pitching staff this year at MPC. She finished conference play with a staggering 1.35 ERA. Within one day of sending Coach Wayne her skills video, the phone rang. He told us she would receive an offer impossible to refuse and that is what happened. Isabella will go to Simpson to study premedical. Her goal is to go into nursing and possibly nursing administration. Even though she is very excited to leave for her new school she will miss her family and friends. We will watch her games through stream and maybe take a road trip. Thank you, Isabella, for what you did for MPC softball. You were a wonderful LOBO.
Evette Mendoza
MPC softball has wonderful news. One of our best athletes, Evette Mendoza, has committed to Westcliff University (NAIA) in Irvine, CA. In a Covid shortened year last season, Evette had a 406%-batting average, 828 slugging %, 2 Home runs, 21 RBI’s and only struck out 2 times in 19 games. It is easy to see why Westcliff would want such a good athlete. Evette has worked very hard on both her game and her academics to provide herself this opportunity. Westcliff University (Warriors) has recruited 4 of MPC’s softball players. They are getting one of the best teammates and athletes we have. We will miss Evette but hope to take a road trip to watch her and the former Lobos play. Congratulations Evette. You were one of the best Lobos the program has ever had.
Kayla Stone
Another MPC softball player Kayla Stone has committed to a four-year school. Former Salinas High alumnus. (KK) Kayla was determined to major in Forestry and researched the top programs in our country offering that major. Kayla recently verballed to Fort Lewis University in Durango Colorado, a member of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. (D2) Coach Dwight Sanders made her his top recruit for 2022. There is no question why - anyone who watches Kayla play knows how well she commands the short stop position while her hitting is very consistent as well. She will face stiff competition in this conference. MPC is very lucky to have an athlete and person like Kayla and we wish her nothing but the best. You were a wonderful Lobo, Kayla!

Congratulations Olivia.
Alexia Torculas
Alexia Torculas, from the MPC Lobos softball team, has made a verbal commitment to University of San Diego. Alexia came to MPC from Notre Dame High School in Salinas, CA with clear educational goals and an objective to transfer to a school with a great reputation for academics and athletics. USD was on the top of her list from the start. Since coming to MPC, she has worked tirelessly to improve both her softball skills and her grade point average. Equally significant, Alexia has been a terrific teammate and leader for the Lobos on and off the field. Coach Pistole from USD is getting one of the best athletes that MPC has ever had and we know Alexia will thrive there. We look forward to tracking her success at this Division 1 school in the West Coast Conference when she transfers next fall!
Bailee Leese
MPC softball is pleased to announce Bailee Leese has signed her National Letter of Intent with Benedictine University (NAIA) in Mesa, Arizona. Diana was an amazing LOBOS.
Emma Guindon
Emma Guindon has verballed to University of New Mexico. (D1) It is not a question why they gave Emma a full ride. In our shortened season Emma had under a .50 ERA. Emma will start as a Lobos and finish a Lobos as that is their mascot name also. She will compete in the Mountain West Conference. Her new coach expects her to contribute immediately. It will be very nice for her family to watch now as they live in Texas. We are very happy for Emma and hope to take some road trips to watch her play. Congratulations.
Jesse Dupuis
Jesse Dupuis has verballed to Sonoma State(D2). For two years Jesse has been the face of MPC softball. Jesse has been pitcher of the year and helped carry the Lobo to a Super Regional appearance. She also finished as the ERA leader of the Coast South Conference. Thank s to Jesse’s excellent grades and athletic ability she received an extremely attractive scholarship. Coach Jen at Sonoma is thrilled to know she got one of the best pitchers in California. We will miss Jesse but look forward to tracking her success and maybe catching a game.
Juliette Guerra
Softball has wonderful news, Juliette Guerra has been offered to St. Katherine's College and accepted her offer. St Katherine's is in the California Pacific Conference. (Cal Pac NAIA). Juliette sported a 1.85 ERA last season and currently has a 00.00 this season. Between her wonderful transcripts and athletic play Juliette will pay very little to attend St Katherine's. Coach Beavers is very excited to have the quality of pitcher Juliette is and expects her to contribute immediately. Juliette intended major is Physical Therapy. Juliette has been a wonderful Lobos and we plan on tracking her progress. Congratulations Juliette.
Kaylin Donovan
Kaylin Donovan (The Laser) has verballed to Barry University(D2) in Miami Shores, Florida. Barry University is in the Sunshine Conference. Kaylin has been a starter at MPC for two years patrolling the outfield. When the season ended Laser was batting %400 with an 800-slugging percentage. Kaylin worked extremely hard to improve her game for this opportunity. Once again between her excellent grade point average and outstanding athletic play she received an extremely attractive offer from Barry University.
Kaylin will study sports broadcasting. We all know she will excel at this and do well in this profession. Barry is getting a wonderful athlete and more an incredibly good teammate. We will miss Kaylin but look forward to tracking her career. Congratulations Laser. Well deserved. You were a wonderful Lobo.
