MPC offers seven intercollegiate athletic teams for men. The seven men’s sports are football, basketball, baseball, golf, cross country, track and field and soccer.
MPC offers seven intercollegiate athletic teams for women. The seven women’s sports are volleyball, basketball, softball, tennis, cross country, track and field and beach volleyball.
MPC is a member of the California Community College Athletic Association which governs community college athletics throughout the State of California. MPC is one of the 17 colleges comprising the Coast Conference and is also a member of the Northern California Football Conference.

California Community College Athletics Association (CCCAA) states that a student must be actively enrolled in 12 units at the time of participation. A student who comes directly from high school is immediately eligible for varsity competition. To be eligible for a second season of sport, the student athlete must complete and pass 24 units with a 2.0 GPA prior to the next season.
