Facilities

Nestled on 85 scenic acres in the heart of Monterey, just a short walk from Del Monte Beach and the iconic Fisherman’s Wharf, Monterey Peninsula College is proud to be a hub for athletic excellence and community wellness. Our athletics and fitness facilities span nearly 20% of the campus, reflecting MPC’s strong and ongoing commitment to health, performance, and student success.

Athletic & Kinesiology Facilities

Since 2000, MPC has invested more than $31 million in state-of-the-art upgrades to its athletic and fitness infrastructure, thanks to the support of voters through local bond measures. Measure I (2002) funded $25.9 million in improvements, and Measure V (2020) has contributed $5.2 million to date, ensuring our facilities continue to meet the evolving needs of our campus and community. Recent enhancements include newly resurfaced tennis/pickleball courts and all-weather 8-lane track with exchange lanes, modern monofilament turf fields for football, soccer, baseball, and softball, and inclusive, gender-neutral locker rooms in the Fitness Center. Every upgrade is thoughtfully designed with equity, accessibility, and excellence in mind, empowering student-athletes and welcoming the broader community to move, play, and thrive at MPC.
