A community college can provide one of the best opportunities to work with a wide variety of men’s and women’s student athletes. MPC provides this by offering a Prevention and Care of Athletic Injuries class (PHED 41) as well as an on field experience class (PHED 42).

Physicals

For the safety of all of our student athletes, a physical examination  must be completed in order to participate in any of our athletic programs.  Per our conference bylaws, a pre-participation screening exam (PPE) must be completed prior to any practices or any intercollegiate competition and must be performed by a medical doctor or doctor of osteopathic medicine.

After the initial medical evaluation, an updated history will be performed annually for continued participation.  The Athletic Pre-Participation Health Screening and Returning Athlete Health Status Questionnaire forms are both available below.  Please contact the Athletic Training Office if you have any questions regarding physical examinations.
